JLL appoints Linda Ko as Senior Office Leasing Manager to NSW team

Ms Ko joins from JLL Hong Kong with over seven years commercial leasing and tenant representation experience and is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese

JLL has appointed Linda Ko as Senior Manager of Office Leasing to its NSW team. Ms Ko has joined the NSW team in a full-time role after deciding to permanently relocate to Sydney, after spending six months in Sydney on an international transfer from the firm's Hong Kong office in early 2015.

Ms Ko has over seven years commercial leasing and tenant representation experience and is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. In her new Sydney-based role at JLL, Ms Ko’s focus will be on working with both landlords and tenants, particularly those who have a preference to converse in Mandarin or Cantonese. She is a specialist in providing advisory service to both local and multi-national tenants including Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Shearman & Sterling, China Telecom, Industrial Bank of Taiwan and Carnival Group.

Ms Ko joined JLL Hong Kong in 2009 as a Graduate Trainee providing analytical support to the team. Since then, she has concluded over 170 office transactions. Due to her experience across both commercial leasing and tenant representation, she is well versed in the 'end to end' solution for occupiers, including advising on real estate strategy from introduction of premises, financial and qualitative analysis of options, lease negotiations to lease conclusion.

Ms Ko will report into Head of Office Leasing – NSW, Daniel Kernaghan. Mr Kernaghan said he was delighted Ms Ko has joined the team and the move was reflective of the JLL's preference and practice of promoting staff from within the company. "Linda joins an experienced NSW Leasing team with over 110 years of combined experience here at JLL. Her fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese is key differentiator, and she joins the team with strong relationships with a number of local and Asian-based groups in the market, which are a testament to her success and unique expertise as a leasing operative. We are delighted she has made the decision to join us in Sydney and are confident she will become an integral member of our team."

JLL's Head of Office Leasing – Australia, Tim O'Connor said, "We are acutely aware of the importance and benefits that arise from our Australian and Asia Pacific leasing teams being closely linked and aligned. This allows us to provide international market intelligence to our valued clients, which we see as a key value offering now and in the future. Not only is Linda's appointment reflective of our close relationship with JLL's regional leasing team, but the firm's commitment to diversity. We look very much forward to supporting Linda's successes and the valuable contribution she will make to our team."

Linda is a professional associate member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and holds a Master of Science in Real Estate major in General Practice Surveyor from the University of Hong Kong, and a Bachelor Degree (Honours) of Integrated Business Administration concentrating in Marketing and Finance from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
