JLL appoints new Australian Head of Research

Dr David Rees passes the baton to JLL’s Head of Strategic Research, Andrew Ballantyne

Global property services firm, JLL has appointed respected investment analyst and commentator, Andrew Ballantyne, as Head of Research – Australia.  Simultaneously, the former Head of Research, Dr David Rees, moves to the role of Regional Director, JLL Research Strategy – Asia Pacific.

Andrew Ballantyne is a National Director of JLL and brings a wealth of market knowledge to his new role.  He currently provides specialist investment analysis to the JLL National Capital Markets business and clients.  He joined JLL in 2007 as Victorian Head of Research and subsequently moved into a national role as Head of Strategic Research, Australia. He will continue to focus on Capital Markets, in addition to coordinating the research of JLL's industry-leading team of 24 researchers across Australia.

David Rees moves to a regional role spanning Asia Pacific property markets.

Dr Rees is a respected economist and property market commentator and will now focus on integrating JLL's research capabilities across the region and developing new services such as regional and global portfolio analysis. David has led the Australian Research team since 2008, significantly growing the team capabilities and JLL's Research subscription services to the industry.  He will continue to be based in Sydney.

These new appointments will take effect from 1 January 2017.
