Growing SA JLL team moves to a brand new office fit-out in one of Adelaide’s most prominent buildings – the Grenfell Centre and takes over signage rights of the building
JLL's Adelaide business has moved to a new office fit-out located in the prominent Grenfell Centre, featuring the firm's in-house designed Activity Based Working model, WorkSmart.
JLL has also taken signage rights to feature the JLL logo on the Adelaide skyline, demonstrating the commitment the firm has to the South Australian market over its 55 years of operations in the state.
The 1077 square metre fit-out is on Level 18, The Grenfell Centre, 25 Grenfell Street, Adelaide.
JLL's South Australian Managing Director, Jamie Guerra said, "This move reflects our growing team and our ongoing commitment and confidence in the Adelaide market. This year, we acquired two Adelaide-based businesses, Australian Valuation Solutions (AVS) and Maloney Field Services who have a national geographic reach and this has bolstered not only our specialist advisory platforms, but also our employee numbers.
"The timing of our new building signage coincided with a new fit-out and tenancy for our colleagues in Adelaide – a valued investment in modern and efficient office space for our team.
"The Activity Based Working (ABW) platform, which was developed in-house by JLL, will help our growing SA team to further increase productivity, collaboration and innovation.
"As part of our fit-out we have selected carpets, paints and workstations with low volatile compounds and have incorporated more than 168 plants throughout to contribute to the indoor air quality," said Mr Guerra.
WorkSmart was designed in-house by JLL's Corporate Solutions team. It incorporates enhanced mobility and flexibility through multiple activity settings and work locations. This includes non-assigned desks, discussion hubs and 'hush' rooms designed for quiet working.
CEO of JLL Australia, Stephen Conry said, "We have progressively and successfully transitioned a number of JLL offices to new modern fit-outs that include Activity Based Working models.
"This new way of working has transformed our office environment by significantly increasing the creative and collaborative experience for our teams and has resulted in a much more dynamic work environment.
"The feedback from our teams around Australia has been positive. We have never been bigger in Adelaide and we want to accommodate our team in the best possible environs," said Mr Conry.
Another positive feature from the office move was the donation of some JLL surplus furniture to local groups to utilise.
Mr Guerra said, "Due to their composite nature, office furniture has no available recycling outlet in Australia.
"To avoid surplus office furniture being destined for landfill, we offered some items to local organisations to be reused.
We had a great response from Renew Adelaide who support local businesses and we were able to donate a large number of items to up and coming businesses," said Mr Guerra.
JLL offices across Australia to feature an Activity Based Working (ABW) model includes Adelaide, Sydney CBD, Parramatta, Mascot, North Sydney, Canberra, Perth, Melbourne and Glen Waverley. JLL's Brisbane office will also feature a new office fit-out and ABW model later this year.
