Sheraton Noosa Resort formally hits the market

Australia's pre-eminent resort

As announced by Valad in early February, Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa has been formally offered to the market this week by exclusive agents Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels.
This luxurious five-star resort features 176 suites & villas, five food & beverage outlets, extensive conference facilities, a day spa and lagoon style swimming pool. The resort also boasts seven prime retail tenancies fronting Hastings Street and a private mooring facility on the Noosa River.
Mr Craig Collins, CEO - Australasia, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels said, “This is the first time since opening that the Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa has been publicly offered to the market for sale. It represents an outstanding opportunity to acquire a trophy asset, with enormous income growth and future development potential, in Australia’s most sophisticated and exclusive resort destination.”
“Being the only international five star resort in Noosa, the property is effectively ‘the best house in the best street’ and enjoys a formidable international reputation along with enormous accommodation, food & beverage, and retail demand because of this. Importantly, over the past few years Hastings Street has developed such a strong reputation that it has become to South East Queensland what Collins Street is to Melbourne or what Orchard Road is to Singapore,” said Mr Collins.
Sheraton Noosa is situated on a 9,946sqm freehold site with frontages to Hastings Street, Noosa Parade and the Noosa River. “With a favourable zoning an opportunity exists (subject to council approval) to re-develop the site into a world-class mixed use residential, retail and hotel property,” said Mr Collins.
The sale is expected to attract very strong interest from offshore hotel investors, domestic investment funds and developers.
