Murarrie provides too great a base to leave for FMC

BRISBANE, MARCH 4 – Car parking was critical in a recent expansion-driven lease deal negotiated by Jones Lang LaSalle’s Christian Allen and Chris Davis, which saw their client relocate from one Murarrie address, to another.

Davis and Allen have completed an 808sqm lease at 5 Palmer Place in Murarrie to FMC Australasia, one of the world’s foremost diversified chemical companies with leading positions in agricultural, industrial and consumer markets.
“FMC has more than doubled their space in a major expansion lease deal, however were adamant to remain in Murarrie,” said Allen. “They have relocated from approximately 300sqm in Metroplex Avenue now, to Palmer Place in a five year deal that commenced inJanuary,” he said.
The deal was done at $240,000 per annum, which included 31 car parks – an asset of the property that proved a critical point of difference. 
“Finding a premises with adequate car parking was a difficult task ” said Mr. Allen “The fact the office featured an existing fit out further reinforced the buildings appropriateness as a cost effective accommodation solution.”
“While FMC did consider alternative locations such as Eight Mile Plains, Murarrie remained their preferred home base.”
