Lot 1, 785 Thompsons Road, Lyndhurst
MELBOURNE, 15 APRIL 2013 – A significant site of approximately 23.7 hectares at Lot 1, 785 Thompsons Road, Lyndhurst in Melbourne's south east has been sold to an owner-occupier for $3.5 million.
Matthieu Lucas of Jones Lang LaSalle and Dominic Gibson of Melbourne Acquisitions negotiated the sale on behalf of SPI PowerNet Pty Ltd.
Currently zoned Green Wedge (GWZ), this vacant site is located approximately 35 kilometres south east of the Melbourne CBD on the northern side of Thompsons Road (opposite Sandhurst Golf Club) and between Dandenong-Frankston Road and Western Port Highway.
Mr Lucas said “the purchaser has secured a rare greenfield parcel in one Melbourne’s emerging suburbs offering potential future development (upon rezone STCA). Situated within a strong growth corridor the site is within close proximity to local infrastructure and major road arterials provide excellent connectivity to Melbourne’s CBD and south eastern suburbs.”
Victorian Premier Denis Napthine recently announced a $110 million dollar kickstart for the $7billon development at the Port of Hastings. Mr Gibson said “Lyndhurst does lend itself to be a logical route for future transport to access the proposed port.”
