Jones Lang LaSalle takes over management of ‘Australia on Collins’ retail centre in Melbourne

Jones Lang LaSalle manages more than 120 shopping centres around Australia, equating to 1.2 million square metres under management on behalf of clients

MELBOURNE, 21 JUNE 2011 – Jones Lang LaSalle has been selected by LaSalle Investment Management to provide property management services for their most recent real estate investment acquisition in Melbourne – ‘Australia on Collins’ at 260 Collins Street Melbourne.
The appointment of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Retail Management business commenced on 17 June 2011 and will be for a period of two years.

Victorian Retail Director, Tony Caljouw said, “Being appointed to manage this iconic prestigious shopping centre in Melbourne is a great appointment for our Victorian Retail Management division and will be our biggest single management contract within the Victorian Retail Portfolio.
“This appointment further increases our business relationship with LaSalle Investment Management and provides opportunity for expanding our business dealings with this client in the future.

Australia on Collins is a prestigious CBD cosmopolitan multi level shopping centre. An art deco style retail centre fronting both Collins and Little Collins Streets, Australia on Collins features some of Australia’s best known fashion outlets anchored by Country Road and David Lawrence, together with Australia’s leading crafts retailer Lincraft.

The centre includes over 70 fashion, homewares, speciality gifts, health and beauty stores and international cuisine within its food court .The centre features an observatory lift in one of Australia’s largest atriums which links into Melbourne’s renowned Novotel on Collins Hotel
