25-37 Huntingdale Road, Burwood
MELBOURNE, 5 DECEMBER 2012 – In one of the Industrial market’s largest leasing deals for 2012, Silcar Pty Ltd have secured a significant portion of the former Gordon and Gotch distribution building at 25-37 Huntingdale Road, Burwood.
Andrew O’Connell of Jones Lang LaSalle in conjunction with Doug Francis of TM Commercial negotiated the six year deal with two three year options on behalf of Burbury Developments for in excess of $1 million net per annum.
The fifty year old building has been transformed and refurbished and comprises a 3,600sqm office, 2,000sqm warehouse and over 300 car parks.
Co-owned by Siemens and Thiess, Silcar Pty Ltd will bring together their business currently operating out of three premises in metropolitan Melbourne.
Mr O’Connell said “this is one of the market’s largest leasing deals this year and Silcar will provide this building with new life”.
In addition, Jones Lang LaSalle was appointed to sell 13 small office warehouses within the development at 25-37 Huntingdale Road. These units have been listed for sale since early 2012 and all 13 have now sold for an average of $2,200-2,500 per sqm.
