Mantra Bunbury Hotel Sold

Bunbury’s finest hotel, the 4.5 star Mantra Bunbury Hotel has been sold. Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels’ Aaron Desange brokered the deal on behalf of Matthew Donnelly of Grant Thornton, the Liquidator of Bunbury Silos Pty Ltd (In Liquidation).

Since opening in December 2008, the luxury boutique hotel has quickly established itself as one of the finest hotel offerings in the region. Located on the picturesque foreshore of Koombana Bay and directly opposite Bunbury CBD, the hotel forms part of the iconic Bunbury Silos mixed-use development and  features 64 well-appointed guest rooms, restaurant & bar, indoor heated swimming pool, day spa, tennis courts and onsite car parking.

Aaron Desange, Senior Vice President – Investment Sales, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels said, “The Mantra Bunbury Hotel was sold via a public expressions of interest campaign that attracted the attention of domestic groups from around the country that are focussed on mid-scale hotel acquisitions between $10million and $30 million.”

The Mantra Bubury Hotel was sold with the benefit of a long term lease to the Mantra Group – one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest hotel operating companies.
This sale adds to a strong year for hotel transactions and investment activity in the hospitality sector across the state. “Not only have we witnessed significant investment in Perth CBD hotel projects, a number of deals have also occurred in major regional markets including Karratha, Port Hedland and Newman.” said Mr Desange.
