Jones Lang LaSalle appoints new SA Managing Director

Jamie Guerra, from CBRE in Adelaide, has more than 16 years in the property industry

ADELAIDE, 2 DECEMBER 2009 – Jones Lang LaSalle has appointed a highly regarded commercial property figure in Adelaide as its new Managing Director for South Australia.
Jamie Guerra, who is currently a Senior Director of Agency for Major Investments at CBRE in Adelaide, will bring a wealth of property experience to the firm from 16 years experience in the commercial property industry in both South Australia and New South Wales.
He will replace John McBeath, who has been appointed as Client Relationship Manager for Banking and Finance clients in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Corporate Solutions business.
Jones Lang LaSalle’s Australian CEO Stephen Conry said Mr McBeath leaves the role after three years of positioning the South Australia business on a solid foundation for the future.
“John has very successfully guided the South Australian business and leaves the business on a sound and solid platform from which to move into the recovery phase of the current property cycle.
“John will relocate to Melbourne and I know he will be missed in South Australia, where he has been a staunch advocate for furthering the interests of the property industry in that state.”
Mr Conry said Mr Guerra would bring a wealth of experience to Jones Lang LaSalle in his new role.
“Jamie has worked across two State property markets – South Australia and New South Wales and has experience across all core asset classes of commercial property – office, industrial and retail.  This breadth of experience made him the obvious choice to take over management of the South Australian business.
“He has extensive knowledge of the South Australian market landscape, being born and raised in Adelaide.  He began his career in the property industry in Adelaide in 1993 at the Australian Property Group and has spent the past 14 years at CBRE, including six of those years spent as Managing Director of its Parramatta office
“We have grown our market share across Australia in 2009 and the appointment of Mr Guerra reflects our commitment to ongoing growth and results for clients,” Mr Conry said.
