ConocoPhillips leases in Park Road: Jones Lang LaSalle

BRISBANE, 12 November 2013 – Global exploration and production oil and gas company ConocoPhillips will call Level 1 at 33 Park Road Milton their Eastern Australian Headquarters through a lease deal negotiated by Jones Lang LaSalle’s Brett Stack.

ConocoPhillips have taken all of Level 1, some 2,182sqm, in the lease deal.

The firm has extensive operations in Australia and the Timor Sea with operations and exploration projects across Western Australia, Queensland, the Northern Territory and Timor-Leste. The corporate headquarters are located in Houston, Texas.
Mr Warwick King, President of Conoco Phillips Australian Business Unit East said the building appealed and ticked all the right boxes.

“The flexible lease terms, the availability of 187 car bays underneath the building, the ability for Conoco Phillips to consolidate our business on to one floor due to the large floor plates at 33 Park Road and the proximity to the fantastic amenities Park Road offers were all huge attractions for us as a company,” he said.

ConocoPhillips were in the market for a new Eastern Australian Headquarters as a result of growth.

Asset Manager and Head of JLL’s Queensland Property and Asset Management business Brett Stack said the lease deal meant the company would expand on their existing 690sqm lease in park Road, and also relocate some of their staff from space leased in Graham Street in Milton.

“Since the property was purchased by a syndicate headed by Norman Fox in August 2012, the building had undergone upgrades to the lifts as well as the installation of “End of Trip Facilities” with works soon to start on a foyer and entry forecourt refurbishment. This sort of investment by building owners to ensure buildings remain prime grade is important in terms of attracting and retaining marquee tenants like ConocoPhillips,” he said.

33 Park Rd is an iconic office building right in the heart of the Park Rd restaurant precinct with close proximity to Milton Train Station and the soon to be built City Cat terminal at the Park Rd end of the River.
