An office building at number Five Mill Street in Perth enjoys leasing success

PERTH, 9 June 2014 – There is strong leasing demand for GDI Property Group’s multimillion dollar refurbished office building in Perth’s CBD, with only one full floor remaining in the 5 Mill Street property.

The ten-storey office benefits from a core CBD location between St George’s Terrace and Mounts Bay Road, on the west side of Mill Street, close to all major resources companies. The office is part of a suite of three buildings linked by the new Mill Green.

According to JLL’s Head of Leasing for WA, Nick Van Helden, the property at 5 Mill Street, Perth has followed in the footsteps of neighbouring 197 St George’s Terrace, proving highly attractive to a broad selection of tenants.

“The building had attracted significant interest in a relatively quiet leasing market, and the overall quality of the offering has represented an outstanding opportunity with a highly flexible and efficient floor plate attracting multiple tenant sizes.

“The GDI refurbishment has transformed the Mill Street building and 85 per cent is now leased, with strong on-going enquiry after the last available floor due largely to its potential for subdivision for tenants between 100 and 750sqm.

“The demand in the leasing market was down in 2013, but we are now seeing CBD enquiry beginning to strengthen,” said Mr Van Helden.

The building is ideally positioned in the heart of the western precinct and features views of the Swan River from the upper floors. Tenants have access to significant amenities, including ample secure parking, showers, secure bicycle parking and cafes.

Recent tenants include Accenture, Wesfarmers Insurance, APRA, TAL, Interiors Australia, ING, Wood McKenzie, Hay Group, Clearview and Environmental Resources Management.
