JLL kicks off 2015 by adding eight property experts to its team nationally

4 of the new recruits have joined JLL from Colliers, one from Savills, one from LJ Hooker, one from McGees and one from Dalton Engineering

​​AUSTRALIA, 21 JANUARY 2015  – Following a record year for Australia’s commercial property market in 2014, with transaction volumes $4 billion higher than 2013 levels, JLL has kicked off the New Year by adding eight new senior property experts to the team nationally, mainly from competitor firms.

NSW – David Lidgard joins JLL from Colliers as Director, Industrial
NSW – Marco Chiodo joins JLL from LJ Hooker as Associate Director, Industrial
VIC – Cameron Hunter joins JLL from Colliers as Associate Director, Industrial
VIC – Cameron Stuckey joins JLL from Savills as Manager, Industrial
VIC – Jamie Buxton joins JLL from Dalton Engineering as Executive, Industrial
ACT – Michael Heather joins JLL from Colliers as Head of Capital Markets
ACT – Aaron Green joins JLL from Colliers as Sales and Leasing Executive
SA – Paul McKay joins JLL from McGees as Associate Director, Commercial Valuations

CEO of JLL Australia, Stephen Conry said, “JLL is increasing staffing levels in all geographies and most service lines to meet for growth in market share and client requirements.
“With growth of over 300 people in the past 5 years, 170 have joined JLL from competing firms adding to our diversity of experience.

“The value of all transactions in the Australian market last year across the office, retail and industrial sectors reached $28.2 billion.  This was well ahead of 2013 levels of $24.3 billion. There is a lot of associated client demand around that.

“Industrial markets nationally recorded the highest volumes of sales on record, surpassing the 2007 peak, with $4.4 billion in 2014. JLL is adding 5 new industrial experts in our team nationally – 3 at Director-level,” said Mr Conry.

The new recruits at JLL Australia in 2015:

NSW – David Lidgard - Industrial:
David joins JLL from Colliers and has 11 years’ experience in the property industry.  He has strong relationships with both institutional and private owners and will focus on the Central West industrial market.

NSW – Marco Chiodo - Industrial:
Marco joins JLL from LJ Hooker Commercial where he spent five years working across industrial markets in Western Sydney.  Marco will also focus on the Central West industrial market.

VIC – Cameron Hunter - Industrial:
Cameron joins JLL as Associate Director after a four-year career with Colliers, working in Melbourne’s Western industrial market.

VIC – Cameron Stuckey - Industrial:
Cameron joins JLL as Manager after three years working with Savills in Melbourne’s South Eastern industrial markets, predominantly in Dandenong/Keysborough.

VIC – Jamie Buxton - Industrial:
Jamie has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with Honours from Swinburne University and most recently has been working at Dalton Engineering, master planning and designing residential & industrial land subdivisions. Jamie has come on board to complement the Western industrial team.

ACT – Michael Heather - Sales:
Michael joins JLL as Head of Sales & Investments after a seven-year career with Colliers. Michael has been involved in major deals in Canberra, including most recently the sale of major asset the New Acton building at 23 Marcus Clarke Street during late 2014 for $45.1 million to Melbourne property syndicator Placer Property.

ACT – Aaron Green – Sales & Leasing:
Aaron joins the team from Colliers with over six years’ experience in the ACT market, having developed strong relationships with both owners and tenants. 

South Australia – Paul McKay:
Paul joins JLL as an Associate Director after a seven-year career with McGees.  He will focus on Valuations in the commercial space and has experience across a broad range of commercial properties, with some specialisation in caravan parks and other small business-related properties.
