Daniel Kernaghan announced as new Head of Office Leasing in NSW

SYDNEY, 2 FEBRUARY 2015 – JLL has promoted from within a senior Leasing Director with 8 years’ experience in the Sydney office market, Daniel Kernaghan, to Head of Office Leasing - NSW.

JLL’s current Head of Office Leasing, Australia - Tim O’Connor has held the dual role as NSW Head of Leasing and Australian Head for the past 18 months.  Mr O’Connor will remain heavily involved in the NSW leasing market with ongoing involvement in projects including International Towers Sydney at Barangaroo and 1 Bligh Street, while also working closely with JLL’s state-based Heads of Office Leasing across Australia.

Mr O’Connor said, “I am very proud to announce that Daniel Kernaghan will take on the role of Head of Office Leasing - NSW. Daniel has been an integral part of JLL’s NSW Office Leasing team for over eight years and has over 14 years’ experience in real estate. He has a strong track record in both project and brokerage leasing, and most recently led the leasing and repositioning of 1 O’Connell Street and the successful leasing of 420 George Street.

“Daniel is another example of how JLL continues to invest in its people to grow and develop their careers within the firm and the expertise they provide to our clients,” said Mr O’Connor.

Speaking on his appointment, Mr Kernaghan said, “Off the back of strong business performance in 2014 for the NSW Office Leasing team, I look forward to building on our team’s performance as we continue to see more active leasing conditions, particularly in the Sydney market.”

JLL Research shows the Sydney CBD leasing market is expected to gather further momentum over 2015.

Mr Kernaghan holds a Masters of Property Development from University of Technology, Sydney and a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from Macquarie University.

He is also active in representing JLL at Corporate fundraising events, including the Balmoral Burn in Sydney and was a founding member of JLL’s Young Guns Committee, which organises annual events to raise money for charity.
