Key Industrial appointments in New South Wales

Appointment of Head of NSW Industrial and Head of South Sydney Industrial strengthens Jones Lang LaSalle industrial team

SYDNEY, 4 JUNE 2010 – Jones Lang LaSalle has made two key appointments to its New South Wales industrial business, appointing Andrew Maher as Head of NSW Industrial and Sam Brewer as Head of the firm’s South Sydney office.
The new appointments boost Jones Lang LaSalle’s industrial team to 25 industrial property professionals working from the firm’s Sydney, Parramatta, Liverpool, Mascot, North Sydney and Brookvale offices.  Both recruits are formerly from CBRE.
National Head of Industrial, Michael Fenton said Jones Lang LaSalle was continuing to attract key recruits due to the strength and reach of the firm’s Industrial business.
“Andrew Maher and Sam Brewer come to Jones Lang LaSalle well qualified.  The both hold Commerce degrees from the University of Western Sydney and University of Sydney respectively.  Their business acumen is matched with 10 years industry experience working in the industrial market in New South Wales.
“Andrew Maher will head up the NSW Industrial business, having returned to Jones Lang LaSalle where he worked from 2002-2006, before joining CBRE to take up a promotion and heading up the firm’s Parramatta Industrial business.
“Andrew has been recognised as an industry leader through accolades including the 2004 Deutsche Bank Industrial Agent of the Year Award and the 2005 Macquarie Goodman Agent of the Year Award.
He will be a strong asset to the NSW Industrial business.
“Sam Brewer is a well-known industrial operative in the South Sydney area and his recruitment would strengthen Jones Lang LaSalle’s Mascot office.
“Sam has 10 years’ experience in the industrial market in New South Wales, working for large property agencies in the South Sydney area.  He has worked for Chesterton International and CBRE and also has broadened his experience by working for Trumen Corporation as an Industrial Development Manager.  His breadth and depth of experience is an asset to Jones Lang LaSalle,” Mr Fenton said.
