Jerry Schwartz
Director, Schwartz Family Company

Jerry’s family was always in hotels, and Jerry himself first invested in pubs. He is the company director for the family business that is the largest private company owner of hotel rooms in Australia. Schwartz Family Company have nearly 4,000 rooms in Sydney, Newcastle, Surfer’s Paradise and the Hunter Region, Canberra, and Melbourne across 15 hotels, managed by five different management companies. Jerry is actively involved in the continual upgrade of these hotels.

Matthew Burke
Regional Manager Pacific, STR

Matthew is leading the growth of hotel insights company STR in the Pacific, Japan and Central South Asia. He has more than 12 years’ experience in hospitality, specialising in revenue management. He works to increase the engagement in hospitality data intelligence, and helps clarify the decision-making for hospitality, research and investment companies across the region.

Brett Forer
General Manager Development Pacific, Accor

Brett is responsible for the growth of the Accor hotel network throughout the Pacific region, through a combination of acquisition, development, management take-overs and franchising.

His focus is on all segments of the hotel market, from luxury to budget accommodation, and serviced apartments.

Geoff York
Acting CEO & Group Director, Crystalbrook Collection

Geoff oversees the Crystalbrook Collection, a portfolio of distinctive upscale hotels and resorts, each with an authentic expression of its location and unique approach to accessible luxury. Geoff has more than 35 years’ senior hospitality experience with extensive corporate and operational expertise gained working throughout Australia and in Singapore, China, India and Malaysia.

Previously, Geoff was director of operations and development at Event Hospitality and Entertainment where he launched the Atura and Eventhouse hotel brands.

Julian Clark
Chief Executive Officer, Lancemore

Julian runs an organisation that boasts some of the most well-regarded hotels in Australia, as well as critically acclaimed restaurants, spas and a Halliday 5 star-rated winery. Lancemore is also growing Australia's sole third party/white label hotel management company. Julian is also the president of the Accommodation Association of Australia.
