JLL has won gold in the 2018 Commonwealth Games before competition has even begun!
JLL have been appointed by Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC), Grocon and UBS to provide Facility Management of the Commonwealth Games Village pre, during and post the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The Commonwealth Games will be held on the Gold Coast in April 2018.
Brett Stack, JLL International Director and Head of Property and Asset Management (PAM) said it was a very exciting project for JLL, who also worked with Grocon in their bid to construct the Games Village back in 2014.
Wayne Strickland, Head of Engineering and Operations Solutions at JLL has been involved with the project since its inception, said that after the games the village would be modified by Grocon and handed over to a single owner that would run the complex as a multi-family type investment of 1,252 units available for rent.
The Village – to become known as Parklands - will also include a Shopping Centre, pools, several green areas and a central water feature – also neighbours the new Gold Coast Hospital and Griffith University with the Light Rail extension nearby.
