JLL announces new Victorian Managing Director

Craig Shute, formerly of Colliers, appointed to the role to be vacated by David Bowden

MELBOURNE, 16 December 2019 – After six-and-half years, Victoria’s Managing Director, David Bowden will step down from the role in February 2020 to move his focus back to Melbourne’s office markets, as Director across sales and leasing within JLL. 

JLL has appointed Craig Shute as the new Managing Director for Victoria.

CEO of JLL Australia, Stephen Conry said, “Mr Shute joins JLL from Colliers International, where he held the role of National Director of Capital Markets, based in Adelaide. He was formerly Managing Director of CBRE in Hong Kong, and before that Managing Director of their Las Vegas, San Diego, and Adelaide businesses.

“David Bowden has presided over enormous growth for our business in Victoria, which has doubled in size in the past 5 years.  Since joining JLL in 1981, David has held a number of roles including National Head of Office Leasing and we support his move back to office markets to focus on deals and clients.

“We are pleased to welcome Craig Shute to the role.  His experience in senior business management roles across Australia and overseas is diverse and well regarded,” said Mr Conry.
