JLL negotiates seven leases at booming Newmarket Village in Brisbane
BRISBANE, December 02, 2019 - JLL’s Senior Executive of Retail Leasing Taylor Macri has negotiated seven leases in Newmarket Village, the thriving inner-northern Brisbane shopping centre.
BRISBANE, December 02, 2019 - JLL’s Senior Executive of Retail Leasing Taylor Macri has negotiated seven leases in Newmarket Village, the thriving inner-northern Brisbane shopping centre.
Just over 1,098sqm of space has been leased.
The signed Newmarket Village tenants are:
- Crunch K – 142sqm (new deal) – 5 years
- Boocoo Vietnamese – 133sqm (new deal) 7 years
- Massage Inn – 80sqm (new deal) 5 years
- Adrift – 56sqm (relocation) 5 years
- Gelato E Nero – 60sqm (new deal) 5 years
- Anytime Fitness – 541sqm (new deal) 10 years
- Finders Keepers – 88sqm – 5 years
Tenancies at the centre have been snapped up over the past year with only two vacancies remaining.
JLL’s Taylor Macri said, “Anytime Fitness in particular was a conversion of what was previously an under-utilised office on Level 1.”
“This time last year we began discussions with Queensland’s largest Anytime Fitness Franchisee and 12 months later we are seeing the fitout come to life with services in place and walls being framed up.”
He said the centre ticks all the boxes for locals.
“With two major anchors (above 2000sqm) being Coles and Reading Cinemas and 40 specialty tenants throughout ranging from doctors, bottle shops, a variety of food offers and now a gym, the centre is afforded regular and heavy foot traffic.”
The centre also has over 580 car parks, 100 of these being on grade which makes it convenient enough for a quick shop or an all-day experience.
