Site Skills Training finds new home in Brisbane’s North Lakes
JLL negotiates 1,060sqm of space in North Lakes Business Park, QLD
Brisbane, 28 October 2020 – JLL Director of Industrial, Nick Bandiera together with JLL Industrial Executive, Fraser Power have assisted Site Skills Training (ASX:SIT) find their new north Brisbane home in North Lakes Business Park at 97 Flinders Parade, North Lakes.
“With a commitment of five-years secured, the deal was finalised at a rental rate of $190,800 (net) per annum, representing a market leading $180sqm and a strong transaction for the North Lakes Business Park,” said JLL’s Fraser Power.
Recently awarded the Master Builders Award for an Industrial Building up to $5 million, the no-expense-spared speculative build provided 1,060sqm of corporate grade office and warehouse for the incoming tenant.
Part of the Site Group International Limited business, Site Skills Training operates as one of several companies in the group and specialise in training, verification of competencies and skills assessing, both accredited and non-accredited, in servicing the construction, engineering and mining sectors.
With an aim to better meet the calibre of their clientele, the company has upgraded from their existing premises to the landmark building in North Lakes.
Mr Power said following an extensive search from Caboolture to Brendale to find a new north Brisbane headquarters, Site Skills Training were attracted to the unrivaled corporate presentation, well apportioned office to warehouse, high exposure location and access to critical surrounding infrastructure.
“The move and final commitment occurred amidst the COVID-19 lockdown. However, Site Skills Training took advantage of the building’s layout to allow them to carry out their operations while adhering to imposed restrictions on class sizes,” Mr Power said.
JLL’s Nick Bandiera said the building was in-line with Site Skills Training’s long-term strategy which saw them attracted to the strategic value in the building and commit to a favorable initial lease.
“This transaction highlights the continued strength of the North Lakes Business Park and the demand from businesses looking to establish themselves with a corporate presence whist being amongst other national brands and having easy access to critical infrastructure and amenity,” Mr Bandiera concluded.
