The lockdown growth see-saw continues over 2H21

Lockdowns across much of the country dented Australia’s strong economic rebound in 3Q21, but GDP fell by a less-than-expected 1.9% in the quarter. Annual growth remained 3.9% following a relatively strong rebound over the preceding three quarters. Nevertheless, the 3Q21 decline is already in the rear-view mirror and there is strong evidence growth has rebounded strongly in 4Q21.
