Implications of the Mamre Road rezoning

The state government has responded to the growing demand for industrial land, which has been an ongoing issue for over a decade. The rezoning of the Mamre Road Precinct to industrial use provides Sydney a runway to grow in a sustained manner to meet demand. This is reliant upon the relevant trunk infrastructure to be delivered to unlock activity in this Precinct. Further, the total area of zoned land that is developable and serviced continues to decrease. This report provides an update of the breakdown of industrial zoned land within the Sydney Metropolitan Region, coupled with the level of demand (land absorption and occupier activity). Implications of the newly rezoned land is also outlined in the report.
