Marketing Coordinator, Sydney Australia
Rachel, our whizz bang Marketing Coordinator, set her sights on working in JLL marketing from the get go. While studying her marketing degree, Rachel dreamt of a role that would be flexible enough to allow her to attend on campus classes and also help her develop the critical skills required for her first role in marketing. Rachel found this balance as a receptionist in IFM on the Thomson Reuters account, and what a role it was, great people to meet and a fantastic brand to start her career with. However, it was a bit of a circus act to juggle full time work and full time university but Rachel felt supported enough in her role at JLL and Thomson Reuters to make it happen.
This first role also paved the way into the JLL national marketing team. Rachel attended a JLL on boarding induction in February 2017, where Craig McCarthy (Head of Marketing, Australia) spoke about the new JLL brand. Rachel was intrigued and wanted to learn more about the how and the why, so she set her sights on working in the JLL marketing team and sent Craig an email to introduce herself. Her persistence and fortuitous timing worked in her favour and the rest is JLL history!
Rachel feels motivated and excited by the change of roles to marketing and believes the marketing world is so much bigger and brighter than she could have ever imagined. Rachel finds working with such a collaborative team, especially on brand campaigns, is both rewarding and inspiring.
Outside of her JLL role, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her very special dog, Bailey. Bailey even inspired Rachel to bring RSPCA cupcake day to the JLL office where she baked up a storm to raise essential funds for this incredible charity. Yum!
