Project Description
A 622 kilometre high pressure buried gas pipeline constructed between Warrego (NT) and Mount Isa (Qld). The $800M project impacted predominantly large-scale pastoral properties through the rich Barkly Tablelands together with family owned pastoral operations near Tennant Creek and Mount Isa.
Key Services Provided
The JLL project team has provided a turn-key land access, land acquisition and compensation service to Jemena including:
- Preparation of Land Acquisition Plan for inclusion into Jemena’s bid to NT Government
- Identification of all land interests impacted by NGP
- Engagement and consultation with all private and public landholders, road and rail authorities, resource tenement holders and other parties with an interest in land
- Engagement, consultation, and negotiation with third party advisors including lawyers, valuers, and accountants
- Negotiate all land access agreements including Options, Licences, Conduct and Compensation Agreements, Permits, Authorities and Crossing Agreements
- Preparation of Assessments of Compensation
- Preparation of Construction Line List document
- Co-ordinate and manage all access to land for project purposes in accordance with agreed land access rules and protocols
- Manage all payments due on behalf of Jemena
- Preparation of all statutory documentation and land access agreements required for NGP
- Provision of land access and land acquisition advice and strategy
- Co-ordinate and manage registration of all land tenure including easements, sub-leases, and land purchases
- Co-ordinate damage releases and close outs in collaboration with pipeline contractors
