SYDNEY, 7 December 2021 – Expressions of interest are closing soon for founding members of newly launched The Quantum Terminal, a new collaboration space at Sydney’s Tech Central.

JLL has been appointed to lease over 3,000 sqm of affordable coworking space at The Quantum Terminal, within the iconic Central Station Sydney Terminal Building. The Quantum Terminal launched on 29 November and will become the exciting new hub of Sydney’s new technology and innovation developments.

JLL’s Head of Flex Space – Australia & New Zealand, Tashi Dorjee said, “The Quantum Terminal amalgamates a wide range of spaces for collaboration, catering to both the start-up community as well as larger, more established companies.

“We’ve seen strong interest so far, with businesses keen to work in a unique space that is part of Sydney’s history, and help grow the innovation ecosystem in Tech Central. The space has been designed to be a vehicle for connectivity and interaction, to help future-focused industries find their community, network with likeminded businesses, and scale up their operations.

“Sydney Quantum Academy, Q-CTRL, QuintessenceLabs, Quantum Oracles and Zipmex Australia have all secured positions as foundation members of the innovative space, and the community is continuing to grow. Businesses of every scale will experience unrivalled opportunities of collaboration, innovation and ingenuity at The Quantum Terminal, and the wider Tech Central precinct.

“Its prime location within Central Station, Australia’s busiest transport interchange, is emblematic of the innovation and business ingenuity of The Quantum Terminal community. Surrounded by world class universities, research institutes and centres of excellence, it is the key gateway to Sydney’s CBD,” said Mr Dorjee.

The Quantum Terminal is part of the 24-hectare renewal of Central Precinct being led by NSW Government, located in the northern end of Tech Central.

Tech Central will in time provide 50,000 square metres of affordable space for start-up and scale-up businesses. The precinct will create 25,000 innovation jobs and encourage 25,000 new students to focus on science, technology, engineering and maths and life sciences studies.
