Housing markets have rebounded strongly the past year, but the apartment market continues to lag the general recovery.

Housing markets have rebounded quicker and more strongly from the COVID-19 shock than expected, but apartment markets continue to lag somewhat in this recovery. Domestic and foreign investor demand remains more subdued than owner-occupier demand and is keeping pre-sales demand muted and seeing few new apartment projects complete.
