Challenge
Pullman Hotels and Resorts is an international hotel brand owned by Accor, with over 117 hotels and resorts in 39 countries.
JLL were appointed as hotel project management for the $65 million development of the 212-room Pullman Hotel at Sydney Olympic Park. This hotel was the first new five-star hotel in Sydney in over a decade and set a benchmark for Accor’s new international brand – the Pullman hotel for business and conference customers.
Approach
We carried out the hotel project management process and worked alongside Accor in managing the builder and the agreement for lease between the Sydney Olympic Park Authority and Accor. Our team oversaw design and construction management throughout the project construction phase.
Our specialist hotel project and construction team coordinated the interior project management including Accor’s furniture, fittings and equipment procurement.
Result
The project successfully established the first new 5 Star hotel in Sydney in over a decade. Architectural designs target 40% water and energy savings compared to that of an equivalent 5 Star hotel. Construction took place from June 2006 – December 2008.
